"...by revelation He made known to me THE MYSTERY...whereby when you read, you may understand my knowledge in THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST; which in ages past was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit... {Ephesians 3:3-6}
The apostle Paul was shown a profound divine mystery. It was not taught to him by a rabbi, priest, mystic, or scholor, but REVEALED to him by YHWH alone. As expressed in Paul's letter to the saints in Ephesis, it is God's desire that the church come into the knowledge of this mystery.
A SEASON OF UNVEILED MYSTERY
Mystery has to unveiled at the proper time to truly be appreciated. A way of expressing this point would be to consider a majic show. If a majician reveals the 'secret or mystery' before actualling doing the trick, you'd lose the sense of suspense, thrill, and bewilderment. That's why timing is everything. God chose to unveil the mystery of Christ at the proper time. God waited until after Christ's resurrection and ascension. We are able to see the divine puzzle completed and fit together. The apostle Paul opens up the mystery and makes it plain.
"the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations past, BUT NOW IS MADE MANIFEST to His saints...to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory"
- Colossians 1:26-27
Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah) dwells inside of You and I, His called out body and Bride. This is awesome 'the hope of glory'. Another way of expressing this wonderful truth would be to say; to come into the knowledge that Christ the Almighty dwells within, consumates the hope of all creation. Finally we have peace with God and are ONE with Him by, through, and in JESUS CHRIST.
HIS DIVINE SUBSTANCE
Do we truly understand what the communion table of the Lord represents? When we eat of His flesh and drink the wine of His blood we acknowledge the ONENESS, the inseparable covenant union. This sacrament also typifies the great mystery. We are Christ's many-membered body in the earth. Christ is One in Spirit, in flesh, and in nature with us.
"For we are members of His body, of His flesh
and of His bone" - Ephesians 5:30
"But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body"
1 Corinthians 6:17
1 Corinthians 12:13 "For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
The born again experience is far more valuable and rich than what many realize. It means much more than the promise of going to heaven after physical death, but to be born again means that you are being 'birthed out' as a new type of species. In this work you are taking in several things
- a 'quickened or made alive spirit-man.
- a regenerated divine mind (Philippians 2:5, Rom 8:1-17, Eph 2:1-3)
- a promised future gloried physical body (I Corinthians 15:44, I John 3:2)
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see Him as He is." - John 3:2
CHRIST, A COMPOSITION UNION OF SONS & DAUGHTERS
Jesus spoke of his appearing in Matthew chapters 24 and 25. He clarified the time of coming, the signs to watch for, and the exact form in which He would appear. Unfortunately, the religious church is still looking up into the sky waiting for the heavens to split. Not realizing who has already split the tomb and has come to dwell in them. Listen to our Lord's own words.
Matthew 25:31-43
‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels (messengers) with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. (32) All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, (33) and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left.
(34) Then the king will say to those at his right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; (35) for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, (36) I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”
(37) Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when was it that we saw YOU hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave YOU something to drink? (38) And when was it that we saw YOU a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? (39) And when was it that we saw YOU sick or in prison and visited you?”
(40) And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family,*you did it to me.”
